During 2009 the ¡Hagamos un MILAGRO por el aire! educational program had a significant growth from the former year. The Instituto Politécnico Nacional joined the program as a pilot. During this edition more than 5,000 students and 1,200 teachers from 313 different schools from Mexico City and the State of Mexico participated.

The Encounter and Teachers’ Workshop was held on April 3^rd and 4^th 2009, and 197 students and 100 teachers participated. A very important achievement from this edition was that the Students’ Network AIRE² (for its initials in Spanish: students interested in recovering the environment) began to fully function.
